2018 TASH Conference has ended
Each year, the TASH Conference brings together a diverse community of stakeholders who gain information, learn about resources, and connect with others across the country to strengthen the disability field. This year’s conference theme, “Be Creative - Innovative Solutions for an Inclusive Life,” reminds us to think outside the box during times of uncertainty. Creativity, innovation, and determination can pave the way for meaningful and inclusive lives for people with disabilities.

Sharon L Leonard is an Educational Consultant at the Pennsylvania Training and Technical Assistance Network in Harrisburg, working with Pennsylvania’s Alternate Assessment and Pennsylvania’s Inclusive Practices initiative in addition to leading development of resources and modules in regard to effective instructional practices for students with disabilities. She has 37 years’ experience in education. Sharon was a classroom instructor for 19 years prior to becoming a consultant with general and special educators within regular schools. Sharon has represented PA through participation with several federal grants. She has also provided training to educators and families in Louisiana and Texas in regard to inclusive educational practices. Sharon is currently co-leading the work with PDE and Bureau of Special Education to support instruction towards the PA Standards for students with significant cognitive disabilities through development and application of the alternate eligible content.
