2018 TASH Conference has ended
Each year, the TASH Conference brings together a diverse community of stakeholders who gain information, learn about resources, and connect with others across the country to strengthen the disability field. This year’s conference theme, “Be Creative - Innovative Solutions for an Inclusive Life,” reminds us to think outside the box during times of uncertainty. Creativity, innovation, and determination can pave the way for meaningful and inclusive lives for people with disabilities.

Transition to adulthood can be a stressful time for all students, families, friends, and service providers. When a student uses an alternative form of communication, this time can be especially fraught with worry. This session will feature an 18- year-old young man with Autism who types to communicate, discussing his experience moving from school to adulthood, college, love, and everything in between. His talk will describe his experience, and how it might apply to others. Additional presenters include family members and professionals.
